Assessment Task
The assessment in this module is both formative and summative and will be made up of three sections:
1. The end product and interaction with technology
2. Blog posts using Edublog, available from: http://ashleighbarker.edublogs.org/
3. Justification
Students will be required to create a 3D model of their "ideal" animal that can be suited to any environment. Their final assessment will be assessed based on the following criteria:
1. Did students create a final product that represents their idea of a perfect animal?
2. Have students thought in-depth and creatively about their animal?
3. Have students thought critically about their justification of why they have included certain features in their animal?
4. How well did students complete their blogs? Are they complete? Partially complete? Not attempted?
5. Did students utilise educational technologies to support their learning and reflective practice throughout the unit?
6. Did students identify and discuss progress made, issues that arose and future ideas within their blogs?
7. Does the blog include critical reflections about the students learning and progress?
8. Did students interact appropriately and creatively with the technology?
Results will be recorded however, the goal of this unit is not the final mark, it is about students interacting with and developing their skills involving emerging technologies within the classroom.
